The Ultimate Guide to Las Vegas’s Bacchanal Buffet

Want to try the ultimate Las Vegas buffet? Then check out the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace.

In this video, I’ll share with you our experience eating at Bacchanal. And be sure to watch till the end, because I’ll be giving you 3 insider tips that will make your experience the best that it can be.

Eating at a buffet is one of the quintessential Vegas experiences.

And if you want to try the buffet to end all buffets, you have to check out the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace.

We already knew that the line at the Bacchanal can be ridiculous, so we planned to get there early. But as early as we were, the line was already crazy long.

But as we were getting our ticket from the kiosk, I noticed in small print that for an extra $25, you go express and skip the line.

So that’s what we did, and we were seated right away.

When it comes to buffets, I like to try a little bit of everything in the first round, to figure out what’s best, and then go back for more of that the second time around.

But the selection here was so huge that I couldn’t really do it.

I started with oysters and sushi, then had some crab legs, shrimp, and ceviche.

Then I tried some of the seafood dishes, as well as the meats at the carving stations. The brisket was hands-down my favorite dish.

Then I had some salad to get some veggies in, and I really enjoyed the chicken ginseng soup from the Chinese section, though I didn’t have any room left to try out any of the dim sum.

Like most buffets, Bacchanal is more about quantity than quality. Not to say the food is bad, but it’s more about the immense selection of foods than how well each individual item is prepared.

But it was a fun experience, and I’d definitely go back again.

Here are a few insider tips to make your experience the best that it can be.

Insider Tip 1:
Kids under 4 eat for free

The Bacchanal is pretty kid-friendly. Kids 4 and older pay about half of what adults pay, and kids under 4 can eat for free. Even if you have a picky eater, you’re bound to find something your children will enjoy.

Insider Tip 2:
Go for a late lunch

The lunch buffet is about $10 less than the dinner buffet. However, the options are a bit more limited. We didn’t try this trick, but I heard from some other travelers that if you get a ticket for 2:30 pm and wait it out a little, they’ll start serving the dinner options at 3 pm. So you get a dinner buffet for the price of lunch.

Insider Tip 3:
Leave room for dessert

As much as I tried to pace myself, I ran out of room by the time dessert came along. And the dessert selection was incredible. So don’t do what I did. Slow down a bit with the entrees so you get a chance to enjoy the dessert buffet as well.
