Hosting season is upon us, but before your company arrives, you’ll need to deck the halls! One of the most used rooms in the house, however, is often neglected. You might clean the powder room before company comes over, but you’ll also want to make sure your holiday bathroom décor is on point. If this space is functional, comfortable, and beautiful, your guests will feel welcome. Here’s 5 easy ways to do just that!

1. Add layers of scent
There are several ways to accomplish this, starting with a simple scented candle. Lifestyle, bathroom size, and preference all make a difference here. If you have a little one or a pet that can reach an unattended candle, you make want to skip this one. Other options include reed diffusers, which add a decorative touch, or an electric oil diffuser you plug into an outlet. Both of those choices are great ways to keep the powder room smelling fresh without any effort. It’s always a good idea to keep a fragrance spray in the cabinet, but within reach.
2. Display miniature ornaments in tall shot glasses
Cylindrical vases work, too, but are better for larger powder rooms. This easy holiday bathroom décor brings a festive touch to the room without taking up a lot of space on the counter or shelves. They also add a bit of glam and remind guests why they’re in your home in the first place: to celebrate!

3. Keep extra supplies within reach
Place a basket above your toilet to hold extra toilet tissue so guests don’t have to go hunting for it. Make the basket festive by adding in some holly or evergreen branches. Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Bath Tissue is strong and flexible, giving your guests a comfortable clean.

4. Use paper towels instead of cloth towels
Nobody wants to dry their clean hands on a damp hand towel. Cut back on seasonal germs (and the amount of laundry you have to do) by providing Sparkle® paper towels for guests to use. Fold them in half and display a stack on an elegant plate nearby. I appreciate how affordable Sparkle® is, and how it helps make my home shine just a little bit brighter.

5. Choose a color scheme
Don’t feel limited to a traditional red and green motif. I’ve chosen blue, grey, and white for a modern, wintry feel. I’d suggest you stick to two or three colors and use them consistently throughout for a cohesive look.
