Looking for a family-friendly hotel in Montreal? Then you have to check out Hotel Le Crystal Montreal (read reviews on TripAdvisor | book here). With roomy suites and a fantastic downtown location, this sleek city hotel is a great choice if you’re traveling to Montreal with kids.
1. It’s in the perfect location

One of the best things about Hotel Le Crystal is its location. It’s located at the corner of rue de la Montagne and Boulevard René-Lévesque, right in the middle of Montreal’s business and shopping district. As a result, there’s an abundance of shopping and dining just steps from the hotel.
2. It’s called Le Crystal for a reason

If, based on the hotel’s name, you were expecting a sparkling palace, you won’t be disappointed. Hotel Le Crystal really is dripping in crystals. Just look at these gorgeous crystal chandeliers in the lobby!
3. The bathtub is huge and extra deep

The bathroom was enormous. After a long day of walking around chilly Montreal, it felt fantastic to enjoy a bath in the super-deep soaking tub. Note: If you’re traveling with a baby, it might be challenging to bathe them in the tub because it’s that deep. You could either get in the tub with them, or take them into the shower with you.
4. Your kids will love this pool

You may not think to pack a swimsuit if you’re heading to Montreal, especially in the fall or winter, but if you’re staying at Hotel Le Crystal, you really should. Getting to splash around in the hotel’s heated indoor pool was one of the highlights of the trip for our girls.
5. The outdoor hot tub has views to die for

The hotel also has a fantastic outdoor hot tub, with great views of the city. We didn’t get to try it out this time around, since there was already a couple there enjoying it and we didn’t want to harsh their vibe. But next time it’ll be on my list. Steps from the pool, there are also two Swedish saunas—great for warming up before you head back to your room.
6. Enjoy Starbucks without even stepping outside

If you’re a Starbucks fan, you’re in luck. There’s a full Starbucks store right inside the hotel lobby. It’s super easy to get your caffeine fix!
7. The suites configurations are very family-friendly

We stayed in a Deluxe King Suite, which has a king-sized bed in the private bedroom, and a queen-sized pull-out couch in the separate living area. The setup is great for families traveling with kids.
8. The gyms have gorgeous views of downtown Montreal

You can find the same floor-to-ceiling windows in the gym, which makes it a really lovely place to work out. In the morning, there’s a ton of light streaming through. But in the evening, you get a fantastic view of the city’s twinkling lights.
9. There’s oodles of storage

The hotel often caters to extended-stay travelers, so the suite offers a ton of storage. In addition to the closet pictured below, there’s another closet next to it with shelving from top to bottom, as well as two smaller closets in the bedroom. If you travel with a lot of stuff, this is good news.
10. Each suite has a kitchenette

If your family likes to have breakfast in your room before heading out for the day, you can make use of the kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and Nespresso machine. But there’s a great restaurant on-site that’s open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s a decent selection of mini-bar items.
Many thanks to Hotel Le Crystal for partnering with us. We received a media discount on accommodations and meals. All opinions are our own.
