Reimagining the Grocery Shopping Experience

This post is sponsored by Stop & Shop

I’ll admit it: grocery shopping is not my favorite activity in the world. Supermarkets are often gloomy, overcrowded and I can never seem to find the exact product I came in for! So imagine my delight when I stepped into one of the newly renovated Stop & Shop stores: It was beautifully lit, with spacious aisles and an incredible selection of my favorite brands at great prices. The new layout and decor made shopping there such a fun experience. In this post I’ll take you through some of the new features you may find in the revamped stores.

I don’t know about you, but Serge and I absolutely love kombucha. One of my favorite features of the renovated Stop & Shop stores are these kombucha fountains, where you can choose from four different flavors and fill up your own growler!

I always like to have beer available when we entertain. But since I’m more of a wine girl, I’m always at a bit of a loss when it comes to choosing beers that will pair well with what I’m serving. Many Stop & Shop stores now feature informational craft beer kiosks where you can find out, for example, which foods pair best with a hoppy IPA brew. Problem solved!

If you make a lot of salads at home, you’re going to love the new self-serve machines where you can create your own olive oil and vinegar blends, such as fig-infused balsamic.

When you’re done shopping, you can save time at the check-out line. Just download the Scan It! mobile app onto your phone, and you can enjoy a frictionless checkout experience with no waiting in line!

Need a quick pick-me-up before you head home? Head to the in-store cafe, which have been stylishly revamped with community tables made of reclaimed wood. And check out the new digital community boards, which list local fundraisers and other events around town.

I appreciate that Stop & Shop remains a one-stop-shop not just for food, but also for household items and school supplies. I’m a big fan of their grab and go options like rotisserie chicken and deli sandwiches, and I love that at many locations, you can order groceries online and pick it up outside the store!

Now that I get to shop in these gorgeously renovated Stop & Shop stores, grocery shopping is so fun and pleasant. From the kombucha fountains to the craft beer kiosks, from the oil and vinegar self-serve machines to the stylish in-store cafes, I’m loving the new look.

Which of these new features are you most excited about?
