I’m a big advocate of flying with carry-on luggage only. Yes, even when traveling with kids and even when taking longer trips. That said, doing this means packing fewer outfits, and sometimes needing to do some laundry while traveling. Even when I can afford laundry service at a hotel, I usually don’t want to pay the inflated rates!
Whenever I travel domestically, I make sure to find a local Walmart and stock up on all® free clear laundry detergent. I find a local laundromat where I can do a quick load while Serge and the girls explore the city on their own. Taking a couple hours out of our itinerary to do this allows us to travel light!
all free clear detergent is a great product to use when washing clothes while traveling, especially if anyone in your family has sensitive skin. all free clear is hypoallergenic and is 100% free of perfumes and dyes. and it’s the #1 recommended detergent brand by dermatologists, allergists and pediatricians! Here’s another tip for handling laundry while traveling, if you aren’t keen on doing the laundry yourself: Getting laundry done in many countries is actually really inexpensive, so washing clothes while traveling may not be as hard as you think. On our recent trip to Hong Kong, we washed two large bags of clothes for just $10 USD!
Particularly in big cities, it’s easy to find places where you can drop your laundry off and pick it up the same day or the very next day. Simply check a local review site for nearby options when it comes to washing clothes while traveling. You’re likely heading out for the day anyway, so dropping off laundry to be washed isn’t a big inconvenience.
How do you handle washing clothes while traveling?
If you can stay on top of your laundry while traveling, you’ll enjoy the luxury of flying carry-on only, with no checked bags to worry about. Pick up a bottle of all free clear in the laundry section at your local Walmart before you and your family head out on your next adventure.
